Digital communication
What is digital communication?
Digital communication is the electronic exchange of information. In the 21st century, communication options have exploded to offer a wide variety of choices (e.g., e-mail, cellular phones, instant messaging). The expanding digital communication options have changed everything because people are able to keep in constant communication with anyone else. Now everyone has the opportunity to communicate and collaborate with anyone from anywhere and anytime. Unfortunately, many users have not been taught how to make appropriate decisions when faced with so many different digital communication options. (Ribble, 2014)

- Cyberbullying can happen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and reach a kid even when he or she is alone. It can happen any time of the day or night.
- Cyberbullying messages and images can be posted
anonymously and distributed quickly to a very wide audience. It can be
difficult and sometimes impossible to trace the source. (Stop Bullying, 2014) There are many laws regarding cyber bullying and ways that we can help prevent it from happening. Please click on the links below to read how Delaware addresses cyberbullying and how to prevent it.

What is Netiquette?
Simply stated, it's network etiquette -- that is, the etiquette of cyberspace. And "etiquette" means "the forms required by good breeding or prescribed by authority to be required in social or official life." In other words, Netiquette is a set of rules for behaving properly online. (Netiquette, 2014)
